The current Kyrgyz vehicle registration plates have Latin letters separated by four digits.  These indicate the district (oblast) of registration.  (Thanks to Laurie for the info.)

• A 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Batken

• B 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Bishkek (the capital city, formerly Frunze)

• D 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Jalalabad

• I 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Issyk-Kul

• N 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Naryn

• O 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Osh

• S 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Chuy (the oblast surrounding Bishkek)

• T 1234 _ (where _ is any letter) - Talas

The previous system of Kyrgyz vehicle registration plates, some of which are still around, normally have three Cyrillic letters separated by four digits, or, for foreign travel, a group of three letters common to the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.  These indicate the district (oblast) of registration:

• И 1234 К_ (where _ is any letter) - Issyk-Kul

• Н 1234 Р_ (where _ is any letter) - Issyk-Kul

• О 1234 Ш_ (where _ is any letter) - Osh

• РТА - Issyk-Kul

• РТК - Osh

• РТН - Tyanshansk

• Т 1234 Ф_ (where _ is any letter) - Tyanshansk

• Ф 1234 И_ (where _ is any letter) - Tyanshansk

• ХРА - Tyanshansk

• ХРВ - Tyanshansk

• ХРЕ - Osh

• ХРК - Issyk-Kul
