Uzbek vehicle registration plates normally have three Cyrillic letters separated by four digits,
or, for foreign travel, a group of three letters common to the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.
These indicate the district (oblast) of registration:
- А 1234 Н_ (where _ is any letter) - Andizhan
- Б 1234 Х_ (where _ is any letter) - Bukhara
- Д 1234 Д_ (where _ is any letter) - Syr Darya
- К 1234 П_ (where _ is any letter) - Karakalpaksk
- К 1234 Ф_ (where _ is any letter) - Kashkadar
- Н 1234 А_ (where _ is any letter) - Namangan
- Н 1234 В_ (where _ is any letter) - Samarkand
- С 1234 Д_ (where _ is any letter) - Surkhandarya
- С 1234 И_ (where _ is any letter) - Syr Darya
- С 1234 Н_ (where _ is any letter) - Samarkand
- Т 1234 Н_ (where _ is any letter) - Tashkent city
- Т 1234 Ш_ (where _ is any letter) - Syr Darya
- Ф 1234 Е_ (where _ is any letter) - Fergana
- Х 1234 З_ (where _ is any letter) - Khorezm
